Okay, here's the deal... this is an open beta still, and things are going to get buggy. So... let me know, please. Nice new location for people to post other than sending me an e-mail or my LJ.

The large 'taur pads into the thread looking for bugs to munch on. "Crickets are just another type of bug, right?" (Check)

Not a bug but a minor (arguable) consistency/labeling issue.

Wen I Reply To the last post the Edit screen says that I am replying to "Open Beta Bugs Thread" (which is fine, as the latest post had no Post Title).

But when I hit the Reply Main, it says I am replying to the first Post "Whee...". Reply Main should always Reply to the main topic. Only a reply to the first post should generate the "Replying to 'Whee...'"

I get no Preview Post option when replying on my initial post. But the option does show up when I go back to edit.

The blue text color on black forum strip is hard to read. The blue color used on the Profile pages is easier to read and would make more sense to match.

Amusingly enough, "Whee..." is the subject for the main post of this thread. ;p

Bug located and fixed in the preview button.

I'd actually already been in the process of updating the CSS for that. Visited links are now the same darkness as general links used to be, and new links are a shade lighter.

Preview "window" needs some work, this shouldn't be a difficult fix.

You actually separated title and subject of the base node? Kinda unorthodox, but I guess that might make a thread survive deletion of even the first post.

It's actually just part of the base design of the system. Threads are an entirely seperate table from posts. I could disable the subject on the first post I suppose...

When editing the first post of a thread, you don't have the option of changing the thread title. I'm not certain if this is an oversight or a feature.

It's to be considered an "intended slot for a feature".

It seems to me as if the previous subject is not automatically copied if you reply to a thread, is that intentional?

Oh, and by the way, while not actually a bug, it would be handy to have a login button/link on each page of the forum, or even in the chat, when not logged in.

Thanks for the notes on those - a 'quote' link should be on the to-do list then, and a login button should be easy enough to add.

Oh, and as I got an e-mail on this. If a thread's part of an Adventure, even Open IC, the system is presently set to require a minimum number of profile fields be filled out before you can reply with a character.

On the Profile Editing label field the ampersand does not get translated to the proper character:

Oddity for you Dat, unimportant I guess but it's got me curious. The back-to-forum link is broken for thread #1, and only #1. It's just fine on thread #2.

http://lucidiafantasy.com/forum/thread.php?thread=1

Edit: Perhaps not so unimportant. Thread #9 is affected in the same way.

Edit #2: Thread #12 too, making both threads in Open IC. I'm sure this used to work, for a certain value of "sure" relative to "I was doing a million other things at once at the time."

Chat: cannot middle-click on names, which means I can't have a profile open in a new tab but rather am forced to have a window.

I created a profile for Ariel (profile 695), and specified a name of "Ghost" (including the quotes) when creating it. However, the reallyedit.php page failed to properly escape the quotes when embedding this value in the form, resulting in a null profile name.

(As an aside, would it be possible to augment the reallyedit.php page to give the ability to rename and/or delete the profile?)

Oh joy, quoting issues. One of the main reasons I won't touch Perl, PHP, or the standard Unix shell any more if I can help it.

Edit: I hate to ask for changes to the actual design, but any chance we could have fewer forced window-opens, please? :s Having windows pop open when I least expect it is approaching "aggravating" level. It's particularly wrong around the profile editing, but today it was the window-open when clicking on an adventure which got to me.

Feature enhancement idea:

If an adventure has profiles associated with it, change the profile links to point to the profile for the adventure rather than the default profile.
